She lived with her grandmother in St James, until her mother took her to Queens. Her father drank alcohol, took drugs and tried to murderer his wife, seting fire to her house.

At 2009, she signed a signed a contract with Young Money Entertainment, a record company established by Lil Wayne. Her album debut, ''Pink Friday'' was published at 2010, and now her song ''Super Bass'' stills at the 34th place of the Billboard 200.
She has singles with Mariah Carey, David Guetta, Ludacris, Usher, Sean Garrett, Christina Aguileraand other artists.
